Eating and Drinking All Day
Hello Skinnies!
Wow! This is what I have to say about my new 6 small meals a day and gallon of water. I am not kidding, I felt like the whole day focused around me eating and drinking. If it wasn’t a slow patient day, there was no way I could’ve done this. It’s better suited for someone that works from home, or if you work in one spot all day.
Let me start from the beginning.
I was laughed at everywhere I went for my gallon of water I was carrying. People couldn’t believe I was going to drink all of it. I placed tick marks on the jug and the goal was to finish the whole thing by the end of my gym session (630ish). Here is a little collage I made for your enjoyment!
No, I did not carry it into patient rooms! I did chug before rounds though š Oh and yes, I went to the bathroom about 50 times.
Now let’s talk meals. I scheduled myself to eat every 2-3 1/2 hours. I gave myself a little leeway in case things got super busy. I stayed on schedule pretty close though.
7:50am Meal #1
11:00am Meal #2
By this time I was about an hour ahead of schedule with my water drinking. When it came time for meal #3, I never in my life have said the words I am about to say “I didn’t want to eat my meals”. I drank SO much water that it kept me super full. Ā I was never a big water drinker and I always despised fitness articles and people that would say oh are you hungry? Drink more water! Yeah that’s really going to solve my problem… But it is so true! If you drink enough of it, you are so full you can’t even think of eating.
I didn’t want to come in under my calorie count so I ate anyway.
1:45pm Meal #3
At 3pm I was ALMOST finished my water. My friend Amanda was my biggest cheerleader and kept saying you can do it! Finish it! I was about to round with my team so I powered through the rest of it
My scrubs are ridiculously baggy, I know. I really need to go down a size! About 10 minutes later, my stomach was really sloshing. I definitely needed to space out my intake more. It was more of a “can I do this” for me. I did it, but lesson learned, don’t chug it super fast to “win”.
When I left for the day at 4:30, I had my next meal in the car.
4:40pm Meal #4
I hit the gym for cardio power hour! Probably not the best day to do it since my stomach was still sloshing from the water. And then I drank MORE. Hey I have to be drinking water when I workout!
I did 32 minutes on the stairmaster, then 15 minutes on the arc trainer, and 15 minutes on the elliptical at a high incline.
I also hit a little bit of abs. Captains chair V crunches (straight and obliques), and my TRX pikes and planks.
Stretched it out and went home!
When I got home, it was ready to make my next meal!
7:45pm Meal #5
Here are the spices I use:
I ended up falling asleep in my chair with Phoebe for an hour. The plan was to put on the Voice and relax a little, but before I knew it I was out like a light. I woke up around 9:30pm for my last meal!
9:45pm Meal #6 (FINALLY!)
Like I said, I literally felt like I was eating all day long, and I really was! If you are a person who thinks about food constantly, try this out! I am going to keep doing it for as long as I can keep it up.
Here is my total nutritional intake:
1,503.5 calories, 38.1 grams of fat, 126.4 grams of carbs, 152.75 grams of protein.
This is perfect for someone looking to lose weight. I really am not, so I think I’m going to have to increase the food and fat a little bit (I’m not sure how… oh boy). For my height and weight, to maintain where I am at I need to take in around 2,000 calories. To lose weight I need to be around 1,600 and to lose weight fast I need to take in 1,200 calories. With the way I workout, I definitely need to make some adjustments!
Moving on from food… to MORE food! My most common today is my cottage cheese and preserves mixture that I often have for breakfast. I’m asked all the time which kind I buy and what I mix it with, so here ya go š
Today will be back day, Yay! Also day 2 of small meals. Bring it on!
Have a great Tuesday (it’s no longer Monday!)
XOXO With a Cherry On Top,
-Minnie

Congrats on finishing the gallon!! I now drink about 100 ounces of water a day (I’m big on running) and when I first started drinking it, WOW, I was literally peeing every 10 minutes lol. So it does get easier š
