Push Through It

Hey everyone!

Happy Tuesday. Remember when they were really terrible for me? Phew thank goodness those days are in the past. Whenever I have a bad day I love coming home to Phoebe and snuggling on the couch. She is my comfort and peace. Sometimes I will just say things out loud to her, you may think I’m crazy, but I do “talk it out”, because she just sits there and listens. I mean does she really have a choice? 😛

What do you do when you’re stressed out? I really wish I had the patience and time for meditation or yoga, but I think I’m too much of a hyper chihuahua for that! Some people also take baths, but again I don’t have the patience to sit and soak. Nope, not for me. I get bored.

If you’ve been checking early in the morning for updates I apologize. My schedule has done a 180 and if I’m super productive I can get my blog scheduled to post at 6:00am, but lately that hasn’t been happening too much.

Plus packing my bags for the gym the night before is an event in itself. Gym clothes, day clothes, shower things. Oh so many things!

Yesterday I did a killer leg workout thanks to a little bit more carbs…

After I was finished my regular routine I threw in some wall sits. Try these!

  • 30 second wall sit, feet a little less than shoulder width apart with a 25 lb plate on lap
  • 15 second break
  • 30 second wall sit, WIDE feet, unweighted
  • 15 second break
  • 40 second wall sit, feet a little less than shoulder width apart with a 25 lb plate on lap

I think getting up from the wall sit was the hardest part. OUCH THE BURN!

I’ll talk about these pants made by HEAVEN tomorrow.. they are lulus.

You could even try these wall sits at home, in the office, or anywhere! Just nix the plate. All you need is a wall 🙂

I second that patience thing…..I cannot just sit there bleh. If I’m stressed….usually working out helps – I try to read…but my mind wanders if I’m stressed.

I have kept a journal my whole life, and I swear by when I’m feeling stressed. As much as I try not to take my stress out on my friends and family, sometimes it just comes out. Let me tell you though, when I’ve had a really trying day I make a point to go home and write it out first thing. Something about putting it down in writing makes me feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my chest, and I can be my happy, calm self once more. 🙂 I’m with you on the bath thing though. I always feel I could be doing something else more productive then just sitting in a tub of water. Plus, I’m a little bit of a germaphobe, so I can never really just relax in the tub.
