Start of Easy Peasy Week
Hi Friends! Sorry I was MIA yesterday. Like I posted, my blog server was down all night and finally came back up when I came into work in the morning. Super annoying, but glad it’s back up!
Work has been quite busy, I’ve barely been sleeping, and I’m not sure why. I just haven’t been too tired I guess.
Yesterday morning I dug right into my cottage cheese and jam at work (ya know my usual) and spit it right back out! The store only had 1% regular, not the usual 1% no salt added that I buy and it was AWFUL! It was like a salt lick! How do people eat that? If you are not a fan of cottage cheese, try the no salt instead and sweeten it up with some jam like I do. So much better! Luckily I had some dried persimmons and almonds to hold me over until lunch!
Speaking of lunch, this was the day before, but essentially the same. Just had a chicken breast instead of a pork chop! Yum
The other day I had sent my BFF DiPeppe a lovely package in the mail. It was a total surprise for her. She mentioned the other day that she is obsessed with almond butter. Store bought? I had to intervene…
While busy at work, this conversation happened
Girlfriend loves a surprise in the mail. I guess I do too 🙂 Look what I got today!
Anyway, I had a quick gym session after work (the day before yesterday I ended up doing back as planned)- I’m really making good progress with my back muscles!
Yesterday was chest, it was super quick. I also did 30 minutes of cardio on the elliptical
- Smith chest presses, 70 extra lbs (WHAT), 10 reps x 3 sets, then 50 extra lbs, 12 reps x 3 sets
- Chest expansions using 8 lb weights (wide open and close movement), 10 reps x 4 sets
- Chest Fly’s, machine, 70 lbs, 10 reps x 2 sets, then 50 lbs, 15 reps x 2 sets
- Pec presses, 20 lb weights, 12 reps x 4 sets
- Pushups (regular), 10 reps x 4 sets
I also did some ab work on the captains chair lifting my legs up straight and knee crunches. Oh and a good stretch!
At home I made an EASY PEASY dinner! (No this isn’t all I ate by the way). I decided that for a week I will list recipes that are very simple to make! We are a society on the go and super busy, you don’t always have time to make an outrageous meal. So join me with making easy peasy recipes! The first one is Tiny Tofu Pizzas!
I decided on Easy Peasy Week because these next two days will be far from easy peasy at work. I’m going to be wiped and not looking forward to it, so need to make things that are quick and don’t take a lot of effort!
Enjoy your Thursday, at least we are closer to Friday!
XOXO With a Cherry On Top,
