A Day of Nothing
Hi friends,
When I say it’s a day of nothing I really mean it. I am taking full advantage of work being on the slower side. It’s much appreciated after last week. In the morning I was feeling pretty sick, and by early afternoon I felt worse.
Breakfast time I was starving, so I had some fresh fruit at work, a coffee, and my regular greek yogurt. The fruit was pretty good too!
Lunch time was same old chicken breast and spaghetti squash again. This chicken breast has an African smoke spice on it that I bought from Trader Joes. It’s really good! If you buy this stuff be careful not to over season. A little bit goes a long way. Too much is super salty.
I was desperate for 430 to roll around and I was really missing Phoebs! I stopped at PetSmart first for a few things I needed and she was super excited to see me. Well she’s ALWAYS excited, but I brought goodies so it made it extra special. I could bring her a stick and she’d be over the moon. Anything she can get her little paws on and chew is gold. I spoil her rotten look at all I bought!
This new pink toy she went CRAZY over. It has a little plastic ball inside (like a plastic bottle) and she loves the crinkling sound. I’ve never seen the little dog that happy over a toy. Just look at her!
We laid around for a little while since I wasn’t feeling good before making dinner. I took out ground turkey meat the night before and decided to experiment with an Asian flare burger. Before I post the recipe, they definitely need tweaking! I could barely taste all the ingredients I put in, but I was afraid it would be too strong and you can’t really taste as you go. So I’ll try again and fix it!
I made mixed veggies with it because really it’s all I had. I was thinking sweet potato fries, but then I went to grab for the sweet potatoes and realized I had 2 teeny tiny potatoes and it wasn’t worth trying to make fries out of them.
Once I started to perk up a little bit I did put together a little fun recipe for you guys. I’m not sure it qualifies as a recipe per say, but it’s definitely a fun idea! I introduce Edible Glitter!
Only two ingredients and so much fun š
I also did this…
No workout because I was feeling pretty bad. Hoping to feel better to get in my Thursday workout. If not, no worries I have 4 days to catch up. Yep! I’m off for 4 days again! I agreed to work next Friday to cover one of the PA’s that’s on vacation, so that means I am taking Monday off. I think it’s a sweet deal š
Today has the potential to be a very stressful work day, but I will try to stay positive and remember my weekend is on it’s way!
Have a good one š

Can xylitol be used to sweeten anything for diabetics? My husband is a diabetic and before he got diagnosed he LOVES iced tea. So I decided that I am going to start making him homemade iced tea using black tea bags and honey, but which would be better to sweeten the iced tea with, honey or xylitol?

Xylitol is sugar free, you could use it but best to check with ur doc!! Only problem with the xylitol is its huge sugar crystals like sugar in the raw lol
