Mini Wave and Celebration To Me!
That’s a quote by none other than Mr. Chandler Bing from Friends. ‘The One with the Football’.
Thursday my office had a mini celebration/lunch for PA week and everyone was surprised when I actually ate. We had fajitas, and I decided I could make it healthy! Here was the lineup, it was SO much food.
Now this was just ridiculous. They sent over so much sour cream it looked like a pie. No one needs that much sour cream. It was probably 10-12 of us?
My plate! Okay so yeah I had 2 of them… But I loaded up with salad, then put the chicken fajitas on top with salsa. I had one small piece of the steak fajita just to try, boy was it good.
My day ended up being stressful at the end so I had to eat my pre-gym snack in the car.

When Thursday was over I practically jumped for joy. I live for days off now. Friday’s are my favorite just because I know I have 3 whole days. Phoebe and I ended up sleeping in (we got up at 7:30 but then she convinced me that we should go back to bed). It was rainy and cold and the perfect day for it!
In the early afternoon I was in Annapolis and stopped in the best coffee shop ever.
Just look at all this stuff!

I chose these, couldn’t say no.
And this coffee for home!
I also bought the most ADORABLE mug.
I love it 🙂
When I ordered my soy latte the girl behind the counter said just to let you know we now offer almond milk. WHAT!? YOU DO! I almost jumped up and down out of excitement. YES ALMOND MILK PLEASE! I’ve been complaining for a long time that coffee shops need to carry it and I never thought it would happen. Too bad this place is about 45 minutes from my actual apartment.
Back at G-Mama and Pop Pops Phoebe was acting a fool, so I said off to the gym I go!
I made it a shoulder day. My cardio was 45 minutes of intense spin class. You guys know I love that darn spin bike! I think it’s because I’m alone in the room.
If you spin regularly, I HIGHLY recommend the shoes. They make such a huge difference. I’ve had these close to 9 years I guess and they still look almost new.
Then it was time to lift!
Always the only woman in the weight room. Move over fella’s!
- Seated shoulder press, 15-20 lb weights, 10-20 reps x 4 sets
- Side bends, 35 lb plate, 12 reps x 3 sets each side
- Front plate raise, 35 lb plate, 10 reps x 4 sets
- Torso twists with 35 lb plate, 10 reps x 3 sets
- Lateral raises with 10 lb kettles, 10 reps x 4 sets
- Arm circles, 8 lb kettles, 20 reps x 2 sets each direction
- Rear delt fly’s, 25 lb weights- 10 reps x 4 sets GUY NEXT TO ME SAME WEIGHTS! I did more! 😉
- Upright rows, cables, 50-60 lbs, 10 reps x 4 sets
- Rotator cuff open and close, 20 lb weights, 10 reps x 4 sets
Finished with some stretching and bundled up because it’s rainy and chilly here!
Since the weather screamed “comfort food”, late Thursday night I made a low carb turkey meat loaf that I ate on Friday. It turned out pretty good for my first one ever!
It was really moist too. I’m saving this recipe for a little special project 🙂
So that’s the past two days. Tomorrow morning is a big day for Miss Buffay and I. We have orientation for obedience training. I had to fill out a small survey and when asked what Phoebe’s specific temperament and behavior issues are, I answered like this:
- Needs Mommy’s CONSTANT attention! She whines A LOT. A jumper too and kicks her back legs when she doesn’t get her way. (Basically a diva).
I had DiPeppe cracking up. I had to describe the dog accurately! This sentence says a lot and describes her to a tee. At least they will know what they are in for!
