Coffee Number…? Oh Please Don’t Ask
Happy Wednesday! One work day down, 3 to go. Like I’ve said before, my days usually go pretty fast, sometimes I feel like I am always busy doing tasks that have no end in sight, or no answer, but it’s all for the good of the team! My job is 100% team work.
Tuesday mornings are always a little rough for me because I get about 3 hours of sleep, if that. I just cannot fall asleep Monday nights. It must be the excitement of Sean, The Bachelor. Okay not really, G-Mama and I both agreed he’s not as good looking this season as he was on The Bachelorette! Still handsome though 🙂
I had way too much coffee today, but needed it! I hate to feel like I’m dragging at work, so I needed a pick me up. Once the lunch hour rolls around I usually am good to go (if I get a lunch) and yesterday I did! Except I dropped my soy nuts all over the PA office… bummer 🙁
I cannot believe how many different people I work with now. I’ve met so many people these past 2 and a half weeks that I am in networking overdrive. So different from my old job! I just stayed on one floor and dealt with the same people over and over.
Of course there are always the odd run ins, I’ve quite often said I’m pretty darn socially awkward and don’t know how to deal with certain situations. For instance when meeting someone for the first time yesterday and after the normal hello’s she says “Wow you have the whitest teeth I’ve ever seen!” I just nervously giggled to this. What does one say to that? “Why thank you, they are pretty white?”, “dental care is important ya know!” Or do I say “oh no, I have Ross teeth!?”— my daily Friends reference.
430 rolled around and I peaced out! I usually don’t work out on Tuesday’s, but decided to do a quick 1 hour session since I didn’t do overtime at work, and save it for a day this week I will have to stay late.
I was going to head straight to the gym, but realized I left my gym bag at home! Once Phoebe sees me all bets are off so I used my apartment gym instead.
Ready to workout!
I started with a 10 minute run, and then ended up doing a speed incline walk for 10. I had to call G-Mama with some great news I just received (so 5 minutes turned into 10), sorry top secret! For now…. 😉
I then did a little bit of back work. Not a lot at all, just enough to burn!
- Lat pull downs, 45 lbs 15 reps x 2 sets, then 60 lbs, 15 reps x 2 sets
- Lat pull downs behind head/neck, 45 lbs 15 reps x 2 sets, then 60 lbs 15 reps x 2 sets
- Overhand Low cable rows, 90 lbs, 12 reps x 2 sets, then 110 lbs 12 reps x 2 sets (easier with cables, looks like a lot of weight, I know)
- Underhand cable rows (reverse grip), 90 lbs, 12 reps x 2 sets, then 110 lbs 12 reps x 2 sets
- Single bent over rows, 20 lb dumbbell, 12 reps x 3 sets each arm
I hit the elliptical for 15 minutes,
Then finished with some side bends and muffin top blasters! (standing crunch holding a 30 lb weight- rocking back and forth motion)
After coming upstairs to my little one, I made a healthy dinner. Loaded up with cod flavored with fresh lemon and pepper on a bed of fresh swiss chard. UNFORTUNATELY, I couldn’t eat the chard! For some reason it was incredibly salty. I don’t know what it was. I did have a side of my clean corn chowder too 🙂
Sorry this blog is lacking today. No recipe, and a little blah. So exhausted and didn’t plan that workout. Tomorrow will be better!
