Back From My Hiatus

Hello everyone!

After a small hiatus… I am back. A small bump in the road with some health issues came about, so I just wanted to take a break for a while and not stress about getting a blog up for each morning. I hope you understand! And I hope you’ll stick around for my return šŸ˜‰

If you’ve followed me on snapchat, you will have seen what I have been up to these past few weeks. A lot of work… and a little bit of fun.

Unfortunately new houses do not pay for themselves, so work has been the priority; making everything else fall into the background. I will admit that fitness took a HUGE plummet these past few weeks into months. People would ask me all the time “how do you do it”. How do you work full time, workout and still make time for everything else? Well honestly I feel like it’s a lot harder on me now than it’s ever been. I don’t even have children! So major props to those of you that do. I work 12.5 hour shifts and have roughly an hour commute each way (Starbucks pit stop is a must). Let’s just say after those shifts it’s EXTREMELY hard for me to find motivation to go to the gym. I was on a good streak doing it, then the holidays started to pop up, diet wasn’t as great, health issues came up and I was dragging… so I skipped A LOT. Basically, I’m a normal human being. It’s hard to go to the gym before work (4am? when you get home at 930pm the day before… uh I’ll pass). I don’t think I’ve been able to even try it once. Tony will validate I am by no means a morning person.

The reason I’m saying this is because I am far from perfect. I am not one of those girls on Instagram that says “rise and grind”. I’m shuffling out of my bed at 530 am to be out the door by 6 (Really I shuffle at 545, I can get ready very quickly).

Then, after a small neck injury I took a good two weeks off from the gym. I can’t remember the last time I took that much time off. Even when I had the flu two years ago I was back in 5 days.

Do I feel like I went backwards a bit? Definitely. However there is always room to move forward, and that’s what I plan on doing. If you’re stuck in a similar boat, have no fear– we are in it together.

Tony and I have been enjoying life in between working hard. We enjoyed the blizzard of 2016… and I was SO lucky to be off that weekend.

And now I’m back to normal work flow, while trying to balance fit flow šŸ˜‰ I hope you will rejoin me for the journey!
