Back to the Grind

Hey everyone!

So here is the deal.

I am back on a prep diet šŸ™

Am I on prep? NOPE! However, things were starting to spiral out of control.

I give you Exhibit A:

I really could go on and on. Why am I sharing this? Well basically I know if I publicly announce it, I’ll feel extreme guilt if I go off it. That’s just the way I am. I know you guys really don’t care what I do, but somehow I like to think you do, so that’s why I’m going with this.

So it’s just for a while until I get that crazy cheat meal situation under control. PLUS I’ve been having extreme nightmares every time I cheat on my diet. Really weird night terror things. Yesterday I started my prep diet and I didn’t have one bad dream. The first day in a few weeks, so I’m contributing the nightmares to the bad food.

Yesterday when I hit the gym I did back. Then I decided I wanted to challenge myself, so I grabbed my spin shoes out of my trunk and hopped in an hour class. I know you’re thinking “well she spins all the time”. This is true, however I do my own thing. It’s MUCH harder doing it for an hour and succumbing to an instructor. The first five minutes I thought “I’m in trouble here”. My quads were on fire, but I kept turning that dial and powered through. It was an amazing feeling when I finished those 55 minutes and I had a blast doing it. I think this will be a weekly thing for me!

I’m going to try to do something daily, or at least every other day to challenge myself physically. Whether it be a spin class, or just my last set of an exercise going heavier than I think I can. Change and progress comes from challenge!

Today I’ll be hitting glutes, so my challenge will be trying to bridge or pelvic thrust heavier than I did a few weeks ago. My max was 185 lbs.

Here’s to challenging myself and staying on track!

I second that comment ^! Can you post about a day in “prep diet” for you?

I can post a “general” prep style diet on my next post, but my diet was what my coach made for me šŸ™‚

it makes me a bit sad to think of you giving up sushi and ice cream and all kinds of “non-clean” (i hate that word) foods. i really believe that people with a healthy relationship with food, who are at an appropriate weight for their body, should be able to have treats in moderation. that’s what life is about, after all – living!! i hope you find your balance šŸ™‚

I’m not giving them up permanently, this is just for right now. I know my triggers and unfortunately when I cheat I continue to cheat. SO until I learn to slowly introduce things properly this is what I think is best for me. It’s about learning yourself and your body and not succumbing to what others thing you should do šŸ™‚
