Don’t Be Alarmed… This is Real
I’m pretty positive there are about five people reading this right now, but I’m going to give it a go anyway.
I know you’re thinking “WHAT IN THE WORLD!?’ “WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN?”. I never use any kind of foul language on my blog, but in this case I’ll make an exception.
First of all, it took me a good twenty minutes to log into my blog. My brain went and deleted the username and password, that’s how long it’s been. I almost sent an emergency SOS text to my BFF Sarah so she could help me… but I gave it about 10 more tries and had success 😉
I really don’t have a good explanation for going and disappearing. I always said I’d never quit, but attempt after attempt of trying to keep it alive by forcing myself, I’d simply said “Ya know, I’m good”. And that was that. I apologize in advance to all of you who opened my page to find nothing. I apologize for e-mails left unanswered, messages not checked, and however you tried to reach me and I failed to respond. I’d shared my life very openely since 2012 and I simply didn’t want to do that anymore. So I didn’t. I stand behind my decision and I don’t regret it. If you’re not happy, CHANGE IT. So that’s what I did. I left this little piece of my life behind for almost 9 months and was just Katie again. I’m still just Katie, but I’m the Katie who also wants to share a little bit more. So thank you if you’re reading this right now. It means a lot that you’d come back 🙂
It won’t be exactly the same, because I’ve changed quite a bit in the time that we’ve been apart. I no longer am the freak who won’t miss a gym session. In fact I’m lucky if I make it 3 days a week now, but you know what? That’s okay. It’s a part of life. My life is different now, nothing stays the same, if it did, we’d be awfully bored!
Speaking of boring, you know what’s the opposite of that?
Having TWO dogs.
This is our little Crazy Haze! Her real name is Hazel and boy oh boy we were not prepared for how energetic she’d be. I wouldn’t change a thing and we absolutely adore her. I know what you’re next question is…
How’d Phoebe take it? Well, Phoebe was about as excited as she was to have that bread around her face.
We’ve tried everything to get Miss Buffay to warm up to Hazel and haven’t had much success. Hazel is super active and wants to play with Phoebe, and well, Phoebe? Not so much. She runs the other way. Hazel has only been with us 2 months, so I’m hopeful they will warm up to one another. They don’t have much of a choice! Both are my girls, both staying.
This picture is one of my favorites, because it is VERY accurate. Tony’s the only one happy. With time, right?
You might be asking, okay she wrote this, is she coming back again?
I am, and I hope you will too. Check back tomorrow for a little list round up, of what’s been going on around here.
PS. Things change 😉
