Meet the Parents

Hi everyone!

This past weekend was so much fun. Tony and I spent the entire weekend together. Lifting, grocery shopping, and hanging out. Okay, so we actually DO NOT lift together. He has a training partner, and I do my own routine, but we do actually drive together. 😛

On Sunday we headed to G-Mama and Pop Pops for a nice dinner. They actually have met Tony twice before, (once at my show-the Gladiator and another time they watched Phoebe for me and we picked her up), but this was the first official “spend time together” day. My parents always do it up big!

Let me brag about how awesome my parents are first of all. They know Tony and I are health conscious so the whole dinner was made with that in mind. On the menu? Filet Mignon, a roasted vegetable medley, grilled sweet potatoes and regular potatoes, and dinner rolls (okay so I had some of those…).

G-Mama is also pretty famous for this Reese Cup cake she makes. It’s SINFUL and decadent. It’s a triple layer butter cake with chocolate fudge ganache frosting, layered inside with fluffy peanut butter frosting, and peanut butter cups inside and out! YEP!

She made it because I’ve told her about Tony’s obsession of all things Reese. I couldn’t resist having a piece. As famous as this cake is, I’ve never had it. I’m always dieting and what not.

Things went really well. The girls played, the men watched the Orioles and G-Mama and I did our normal chatty thing.

You would think it would be really weird for me to have all this. You guys know me. I was the single gal, never talked about relationship things, always eye on the prize lifting, career minded, etc.  For real guys, a part I never share… I hated VISITORS in my apartment, hated dating, and now I’m with someone 24/7. I guess that all changes when you find the right person.

By the way, my progress post is almost done and I’ll be back tomorrow with workout related things! It’s muscle building time for me now 😀

I do want to end today saying I am safe and so is my family. I no longer work in the city of Baltimore thank goodness, and I’m staying clear of it. It breaks my heart watching the city destroyed, but that is all I can say. My blog is a positive place and I just hope all the violence ends and Baltimore can go back to being the beautiful place it always has been.
