New Week + Sale

Hello Everyone!

It’s Monday. Let’s all take a second to be grumpy cat… okay done!

I tell you I’ve had quite the emotional weekend. I know it’s prep and hormones doing it to me. The littlest thing I blow out of proportion and make it into something it doesn’t need to be. Even silly things, like crying because I’m out of almond milk and having to meal prep late in the evening. G-Mama sent me a text last night that said “I can boil and peel eggs!”. I couldn’t help but laugh at myself. Seriously, I need my mom to help me meal prep? The gesture is amazingly generous, and I love you mom! I did it though, but can I hold it together please?

My training lately has been intense. I decided it was best for me to go 100% solo in my journey from here on out. I’m now fighting the clock to make up for lost time. I did it before on my own, I can do it again, I just wished I wouldn’t have waited so long to start leaning out. As G-Mama says “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”. I didn’t need fixing, and now I’m trying to fix what I messed up!

Can you spy creeper Phoebs?

Speaking of Phoebs, I fully planned on going to the gym early and leaving her home. The dog cried so loud I was forced to take her to G-Mama and Pop Pops before I went. You win this one Miss Buffay.

On Saturday I used my Armour39 heart rate monitor I was given at blogfest. I really wanted to see what I burned during a workout and I love it!

This was at the end, that’s why my intensity was 1%. 901 calories is a good number for me! The willpower number works off your stats and a numerical 1-10 value of how much you put into your workout. Plus the strap is comfortable and fits nicely under my tighter tank tops, you can barely see it! It’s also convenient because it syncs to my phone and I can even leave it in my locker and it still works.

Lately, diet has been on point. Water? Okay, I could do better. That’s the goal this week is to track my water better and make it what it needs to be. And since I’m talking about food I have to share my new favorite way to eat spinach… now it sounds weird, but trust me!

  • 1 bag frozen chopped spinach, thawed
  • 1-2 Tablespoons of Ground Turmeric
  • 3-4 Tablespoons of STEVIA (yes, stevia)
  • Mix in Sriracha to taste (I love the new Franks Sriracha- seriously I put it on everything).

Now I know you are thinking why the heck is she putting stevia with her spinach? Well folks, I’m here to tell you it’s delicious! When mixed with the hot sauce it is like a guilt free sweet chili sauce! I have to say it was a little genius, and I’m not sure why it took me so long to think of it. I LOVE chili sauce, duck sauce, orange sauce, etc. You name the sauce and I love it. So while I’m on bikini prep it hits the spot for the condiments I cannot have šŸ™‚

I used some of it with leftover pulled chicken and stuffed it into a pepper for a different kind of meal. Topped this baby with a little soy cheese, or “veggie slices”. I’ve been craving cheese so bad so I thought this would be better than the real thing, plus I only used 2/3 of a slice for each pepper.

This is all so interesting to me, I really thought Coach would help a ton, but you are right, you know your body the rest. And I’m sure with you going solo, you will get exactly where you need to be :). Mmmm stuffed peppers, one thing that always looks so good and still have yet to try. I just always forget when I have ground turkey!! Have a great Monday šŸ™‚

Wow! So how do you like the Armour39?? I have been using a Fitbit (tracks steps, miles, calories etc) and it’s cool because it syncs with my fitness pal for food intake but it doesn’t do heart rate which is what I REALLY want to see!! Is it definitely worth getting?
