Weekend Fit Friend Fun
Hi gang! Happy Monday.
A fresh start to the week. Well, I guess I’m chipper since I’m off until Wednesday. 😛
It’s not all fun and games. I work pretty hard and it’s rare for me to be off 4 in a row straight, so I’m soaking up every little bit of awesomeness that is my weekend.
Our real weekend was pretty filled up! Saturday night being our favorite time when we met a bunch of our “fit friends” for dinner. It was really to celebrate our friend Steve and the epic re-feed that he was given since he’s leaning out for a show. Prep is no joke, so when you get something off your diet it’s like you hear the chorus sing. I decided to make myself look presentable for the first time in ages. Let’s face it, I’m a messy bun, no makeup, yoga pants kind of gal. I’m lucky that Tony loves me for who I really am and not the bikini girl he first met 😉
It was nine of us for dinner at an Italian restaurant. The gals loaded up on salad since I knew sushi was coming and I’d much rather have that!
Steve was OH SO HAPPY. I remember the joy post show (I never had cheats on prep, but it’s totally different for guys… talk about unfair!). And yes ladies, he’s available. You just have to get through Tony and I for approval! 😉
Tony told me this technically was not a cheat, but a re-feed. Steve was given specific foods he was allowed to eat. Pasta being one of them, bagels, nigiri sushi, and other things to carb-load and give him the restart he needed after dieting so hard for weeks. I never turn down sushi, so you know I was game.
It was a lot of fun to just hang out with people that live a similar lifestyle. We get together a lot, but it’s mostly in the gym; I think this was our first dinner outing all together. I hope to have many more 🙂
Besides Saturday, Tony and I meal prepped pretty hard, and hit the gym a few times. He makes curls look so easy, huh?
I made these yummy skewers for veggies this week! Look at all the beautiful colors.
I also whisked together a marinade for the veggies that I plan on posting soon. It’s just a few simple ingredients but it is sensational on anything! Stay tuned this week.
The BIGGEST thing that happened this weekend may be silly to everyone else, but Phoebe is now a certified big girl.
She goes up and down the steps.
You read that correctly. My little girl going up and down like it’s no big deal. Tony showed her once or twice and now she is a pro. She is so impressed with herself, that she deliberately throws toys down the steps to go and get them. What have we gotten ourselves into!?
That’s it for today. I’ll see you back tomorrow 🙂

Totally random comment, but have you been doing something different with your eyebrows? They look amazing lately! haha I have noticed them in your last few posts! 🙂
Oh THANKS! Yes I really stopped plucking and now I fill in with small little strokes! I just clean up my arch a bit for plucking. I use a roll up pencil from target, brand is pixi (it has a gel on the other end), and then I use a brow powder from Too faced to fill in the rest 🙂
