Not a Proud Moment

Good Morning, Happy Saturday!

Yesterday I was working, thinking about the weekend to come. No major plans, besides some #noequipmentcardio butt kicking! And maybe a touch up spray tan 😉

The past two days at work I walked like I had major surgery. I was waddling, my calves and quads were burning like fire and it became progressively worse through out the day. I take it as a good sign, sore means change.

As I was walking down the steps, there was an elderly gentleman behind me. I had to have him PASS me. It was not a proud moment, but I couldn’t go as fast as he needed to go. Wow that’s how you know you had a major cardio and leg day.

My morning at work yesterday went pretty fast, I plowed through my work, then the afternoon dragged a little and I actually did not want to workout. I was given this little dark chocolate Kiss, that’s as far as I went with the Halloween candy, such a rebel 😉

I forced myself to go to the gym because I knew on the way I was going to stop by my parents house and pick up my shiny new gold iPhone that had finally shipped. Yay!

First selfie with this baby.

You know I had to include Phoebe!

I love having a phone that actually works! Mine was a disaster and the top button was broken. I can actually turn my phone on and off now, imagine that 😉

At the gym I did intervals on the step and arms. Here was my workout (I did 4 sets of each and alternated the two together):

  • Jumping step squats (like a box squat on and off), 10 reps
  • Side bicep curls, 12 lb weights, 12 reps

  • Fast feet up and down on step, 20 reps
  • Overhead tricep extensions, 12 lb weights, 10 reps

  • Helicopters, 20 reps
  • Pushups, 10 reps

  • High Knees, 20 reps
  • Bicep curls for 5, tricep kickbacks for 5, 12 lb weights

  • Alternating knees on the step, 20 reps
  • Spiderman pushups, 8 reps

  • Bicep uppercut punches, 12 lb weights, 20 reps
  • Ski jumps, 20 reps

I finished with a jog across the gym floor, about 2-3 minutes worth, it was 10 times back and forth. Then some stretching 🙂 I did sneak downstairs for a little heavy lifting. Pretty much the same exercises, just a few with heavier weights! Total time: about an hour

I realize I look terrible and tired in these pics, oh well

Then I came home to Miss Buffay. I don’t know who was happier for the weekend! I think me. When I’m excited she takes her excitement to a new level of crazy.

G-Mama is right, she looks like a stuffed animal I carry around, not an actual dog.

Last night I came across something incredible. You guys know about my Friends obsession. Yes, it’s an obsession. I mean I have a dog named Phoebe Buffay for crying out loud. I watch my DVDs every single day, I quote lines before the characters say them, and I still laugh like I’ve never seen the episodes.

I even did a quiz I found on Facebook where they give you a PICTURE ONLY from an episode and you fill in the blanks of a quote. No hints, no letters, just blank spaces. I got every one right. It included some of my favorites “Pivot”, “Could I BE wearing anymore clothes?” and “Nestle Toll House”.

One of the best lines ever!

Anyway, I’ve been saying to a few friends it would be my dream to go to a Friends trivia night because let’s face it, I would slaughter the competition. I googled. And THIS PLACE has trivia nights with specific shows. Friends included. I didn’t know it existed, and I’m sad it’s in New Jersey and New York, but I could road trip it. WHO IS TAKING ME!? Seriously putting it on my bucket list. Watch out people, I’m coming for you.

I kept searching for one in Maryland, no such luck. It needs to happen closer to me!

Today I am off to the gym for a back/shoulder day combo. Have a great weekend 🙂

XOXO With a Cherry On Top,

-Minnie
