SUPER BOWL CHAMPS!
It’s Monday. I have to admit, even though I like my job, I had a difficult time getting going. I felt like I was the only person up! People were just going to bed around here because of the BIG RAVENS WIN!
My weekend was great! Nice and relaxing, and I had fun watching the game š Minus the little blackout situation. Really, all that money invested and they can’t get the lights back on? Kind of funny if you think about it. But YAY RAVENS!
Yesterday morning started with a gym session! Wow a morning workout for Minnie? I know! I had to get it done though so I could enjoy the game later on.Ā Ā I pretty much waddled in the gym because my legs were so sore from all those squats. The second day after leg day is always the worst.
First I hit the treadmill for a 25 minute speed incline walk. I did an incline of 7.0 for the most part, with a speed of 3.7, but it ranged from 5.0 incline to 10.0. NO HOLDING on to the machine guys! It defeats the purpose.
Then onto chest:
- Chest presses with the machine, 50 lbs 15 reps x 2 sets, then 60 lbs 12 reps x 2 sets
- Standing chest fly’s with 8 lb kettle bells, 12 reps x 4 sets
- Around the world’s with 8 lb kettle bells, 10 reps x 4 sets
- Decline chest press sitting on stability ball, 15 lb weights, 12 reps x 4 sets
- Pushups on the bosu, 10 reps x 4 sets
Then I used this little cable loop machine:
With the cables I did:
- Chest Flys, 40 lbs each side (not as heavy as it sounds) 15 reps x 2 sets, then 50 lbs each side, 15 reps x 2 sets
- Chest Pec Pull Down (cables above head, elbows bent, pull down and squeeze the chest) 50 lbs each side, then 60 lbs each side, 12 reps x 4 sets
- One arm chest crossover, 30 lbs, 10 reps x 2 sets each arm
- Chest Pull forwards (cables at the bottom, push chest out and lift cables forward and down), 60 lbs each side, 10 reps x 3 sets
I also did side bends, torso twists, and standing crunches, per usual š
A couple squats were thrown in too, just to stretch my legs out some!
I also hit the elliptical with the stair stepper combined for about 25 minutes. I talked about this machine once before. You have to have a lot of coordination to do it. Here’s what it looks like for those of you who have no idea what I’m talking about:
Stretching was done and I headed home for a shower!
Of course I rocked Ravens colors to the gym. Shoes and socks included!
I got all festive, including purple hair! Don’t worry it’s just clips that will come out!
I powered through some egg whites and headed to G-Mama’s with Phoebs
G-Mama DVRed our favorite episode of I Love Lucy! The one where Lucy does the television commercial “That’s Vita-Meata-Vegamin” “Taste’s just like CANDY!”Ā
G-Mama and I always laugh hysterically like it’s the first time we’ve seen it.
Yesterday I started with alphabet healthy eating. It’s A day! And A stands for Almond Crusted Chicken Tenders!
These are so amazing! They give the tenders a sweet nutty flavor and they are too simple not to make š
I also hit meal prepping during the Superbowl blackout!
Yummy huh? I’ve received a lot of feedback about my meal preps! I’m glad I can inspire so many people to do the same. Plus it’s so easy to have everything prepared for the week š
During the game I did a little challenge! For every touchdown I did 10 burpees! I wasn’t excited when I had to do them for the 49’ers, but I did them anyway. Working up a sweat Ā š
After lots of mixed emotions during last nights game, and almost throwing things at one point… I gained back my sanity the last 2 minutes! The Ravens held on and pulled out the big win! It’s going to be great working in Baltimore today! Ravens spirit to the max š
Head over to my WORKOUTS tab at the top to see a list of my most common workouts I do! It’s a pretty heavy list to pick and choose from š
Start your week off right!
XOXO With a Cherry On Top,
-Minnie
P.S. I hope there are not any problems with my blog today. My server crashed REPEATEDLY as I wrote this last night. It took me hours. I think it was a local server crash because every one was online when the Ravens won!

[…] there gang. It’s Super Bowl Sunday! I have to say I really am not in the Super Bowl spirit. Last year the Ravens played and won so it was crazy here in Maryland and especially since I work close to the stadium! I remember […]
