The Laundry Bandit
Good Morning 🙂
First of all, what is this world coming to? I’m sure you were all just as shocked to learn about the horrific events in Boston yesterday during the marathon. I cannot believe people are capable of doing such things. As a health and fitness blogger, I have to acknowledge this, although ANY place it would have happened would have been just as terrible. It’s a shame no place is safe, happy, or fun anymore without constant fear a monster is going to hurt innocent people. My thoughts are with the city, the victims, and the families.
Yesterday I was dragging a bit in the morning. When will I ever learn that 4 hours of sleep is not enough fuel for an 11 hour work day plus gym time? Probably never…
I had coffee, and then more coffee after one of my team members showed me where I can snag a free cup. I also had my freeze dried apple snacks, greek yogurt with berries, and chocolate protein shake.
After doing my normal morning routine, lunch rolled around. It included my dads smoked chicken breast, broccoli, and my awesome bok choy salad featured yesterday!
The rest of my day went by pretty fast, I can’t really complain for a Monday. I feel like this always happens to me though. Monday they ease me into it, then Tuesday hits and WAM! Usually Thursday’s are by far the worst day at work, but by then I am so focused on finishing the week that I don’t let it get to me as much.
I changed for the gym and left at 4:30 to hit arm day!
I started with 12 minutes on the stairs. My hips and bum were really feeling this. A few minutes in and I was spent. I think the hour of stairs and then leg day did me in from the day before!
Then Biceps and Triceps were in full swing:
- Cable tricep overhead extensions, 50 lbs, 12 reps x 4 sets
- Cable tricep pulldowns, 50-60 lbs, 12 reps x 4 sets
- Bicep curls, 30 lb bar, 12 reps x 4 sets
- Bicep pushouts, 30 lb bar, 10 reps x 4 sets
- Tricep Overhead extensions, single arms, 12 lbs, 12 reps x 4 sets each arm
- Hammer curls with 25 lb plate, 12 reps x 4 sets
- Tricep dips with 25 lb plate on lap, 12 reps x 4 sets
- Diagonal Hammer curls alternating, 17.5 lbs each hand, 10 reps x 4 sets
- Tricep kickbacks, both arms, 17.5 lbs each, 12 reps x 4 sets
- Tricep pushbacks, 20lb kettles (weights down by side, palms face bum, little pushes back), 12 reps x 4 sets
I also did 20 minutes on the step/elliptical combo machine. The one you need extreme coordination for. I don’t do this one all the time, not one of my favorites, but I like to change things up!
I’m also having a good tummy week! Sometimes I’m super bloated, other times I am a little more flat. I cut out a lot of the broccoli, cauliflower, and gassier foods recently and some of my bloat has gone down. I did have my bok choy and broccoli for lunch but it wasn’t a lot. We will see if I can keep it down!
At home I had leftover sweet and sour chicken from the other night! Yummers. I also watched the Voice and heard a little whimper. I thought okay she is stuck somewhere….
I often wonder if she can’t jump out, how the heck does she jump in? She can be a little baby sometimes! She still won’t jump up on the furniture (I guess it’s not a bad thing), but she is definitely big enough now that she could. Be a rebel Phoebs!
She wouldn’t jump out…
I picked her up and she was grateful. 45 minutes later I hear more crying
See this is what she does to me. She does that cute little face so I can’t get mad at her. I mean come on look at her! I’m such a sucker…
Later today is my favorite new workout day! BACK DAY! Last week I did a no cardio day for my back routine. Debating doing that again since I hit the stairs so hard the other day. I will see how my work day goes. Sometimes I need the cardio to clear my head on a busy stressful day!
Have a great Tuesday! Be blessed and grateful for all you have and hug your loved ones extra tight 🙂
XOXO With a Cherry On Top,
