Binge Watching is For Winners
So yesterday I skipped my blog because I pretty much spent the entire day on my couch. I must’ve woken up about 10 times during the previous night with a throat that felt like it was on fire. I get way too many sore throats 🙁
Needless to say I skipped the gym yesterday and spent quality time with Mr. Netflix. I watched Friends, A movie called Country Strong (uh warning… I thought it was a cute romantic lifetime movie and I ended up sobbing… thanks for the heads up Netflix!), and then I started a Netflix original called the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. It stars Ellie Kemper, who I LOVE and it was created by Tina Fey. I binge watched about 7 episodes until Tony came home.
If anyone has good recommendations for Netflix binging let me hear them! In the rare instances I do morning cardio (off season), I like to watch something.
I’m HOPING I feel well enough to at least get in a lift at the gym. I always say let me try to get in cardio, but right now the lifts are more important to me than cardio. I’m not trying to get super lean, I’m trying to build. It’s QUAD day again.. oh boy. Did you guys try the one I gave you last week?
This week I’m all about lunges. I always feel them the most out of any exercise for the quads so I’m going to try out these few variations:
- bulgarian split squats
- Reverse lunges
- Walking lunges
- Walking lunges with the bar over your head
- Curtsy lunges
- Alternating reverse lunge on the smith machine
Plus, a little extra booty work never hurt anyone 😉
